Hello to all you galaxy owners out there, i'm new to this game and i'm after some help, at the moment i drive a peugeot 406 est and how toyed with the idea of converting it to a 7 seater (got 3 kids + 1 on the way) but i have just been offered a galaxy 2.3 ghia x 5 speed its a 1997 r plate with 200,000 miles with full ford service history and in excellent condition, the things i need to know are 1, how much is worth. 2, how many miles are these engines good for. and 3, are there any problems i should know about concerning the ford galaxy i.e. reliability

any help would be appreciated

200,000 miles is big numbers for that engine, must have some overhaul history if only the camchain.

Unless you can steal it, walk away.

200,000 miles....ouch!!!

If you can wait another 30 months, you can get a 3 year old Ghia TDI from me with 150,000 miles on it...

But seriously, what do we think that 1997 200K R-plater might be worth retail?

With this engine unless you have any receipts for engine work i wouldnt bother,if no work has been done i would think its on the edge of a nervous BREAKDOWN...

:( :( :(
