Hi All !

How easy is it to change the front side lights on a 2.3 Zeatec?

Depends how much "technical ability" you have

A number of posts on the forum talk about changing headlight bulbs, if you do a search then you will find lots of opinion as to whether you completely remove the headlight unit before changing a bulb, or take the back off the unit and then change the bulb with the light unit still in situ.

Personally i prefer the first method. Usually take around 20 minutes per light unit to remove, change bulb and replace

There is a flap on the inside of the front wheel arch. Remove this to gain access to the side light bulb but i think you need small hands to get into it.

I have allways changed my headlight bulbs with the headlight fitted. Its a bit tight but can be done

Hi Bobski

I'm with davewill on this one.

Having large hands, I find it easier to drop the headlight unit out. It only takes a few mins and you can easilly access all the lamps.

I would advise fitting LED sidelight lamps as they last forever (alledgedly) so you won't have to change them ever again.

Thank you all for the replies, I myself have big hands ,so it looks like i will have to drop the headlights out then. I will look for some LED's tomorrow.

Cheers all :18:
