Sat Nav - Again!

Hi,

I know sat nav has been covered many a time, but I can't seem to find the answer to this one on the search page.

 

Will a blaupunkt RNS 2 fit in a facelift galaxy??

The screen looks a lot smaller than on pictures of other units that I have seen.

Is it a newish system and will it play cd's, although I know it is changer compatible??

 

I am unsure exactly what models will fit as there seems to be so many available out of other fords.

 

Hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

Further to my original post, has anyone got this version of sat nav fitted??

I believe they were fitted to galaxys but dont know if these are the later version??

Can anyone help??

The below item is for sale on German ebay under the sharan category. It may therefore fit. If you need to know the exact aperture of the RNS4 sat nav then iI can measure mine for you - let me know.

just to add some more info.the picture shown is the same type i have fitted to my 2004 reg. ghia so i would hope it's the latest model however i must tell you that you will be unable to play cd's directly you will need a seperate changer hope this helps.

big big apology my earlier reply to this question was incorrect.the picture shown is not the same as the one fitted to my 2004 galaxy.the one i have is apparently a SONY it's very simular but has two small toggle switches controlling the radio and sat nav.sorry for any confusion floz.
