Hi all..........quite happy to see a dedicated Ford Galaxy forum. :D

As per forum advise for new comers, I have browsed through for an hour to see if there is any relevant topic already being discussed to my problem, BUT failed to spot one.

I have a 99 Galaxy 1.9 TDi Auto.........and the issue is that when I turn the fan blower dial ( Air Con Off) for the heating or even to blow cold air, the blower fails to blow any air in settings 1 & 2. It only blows air in 3 and 4 and heat/cold air does come through the vents.

Is it a fuse burnt out issue for the fan blower or is it due to Air Con not working as I am in the process of having it recharged?

Should I expect the fan blower in 1 & 2 would be working once I get the Air Con looked at/recharged? plus shouldn't the blower be working independently even if the Air Con is not turned on? :D

Any advice appreciated. :)

no dash removal just the lower glove box

I just remember the picture with lots of the front end/heating dissemmbled(not neccessarily to replace the resistor pack) and the little resistor pack dwarfed by the rest - wasn't it posted on the pic site because we couldn't upload images way back then or had it been reposted here ?

red block to the left of the picture, thats it! remove the lower glove box and there it is either an Allen key bolt or a Torx bolt?
