Guest mirricleboy Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 I was wondering if any one can talk me threw replacing the drivers side cast iron arm. I bent it wen i slid on ice and went into a curb. I have got the bolt off the ball joint end but the scew will not budge and either will the others. Any tip or help would be great. Quote
Guest chunky Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Undo the nut and bolt which holds the ball joint in the hub, if the bolt is very tight and you havent got air tools your going to have to buy a new nut and bolt and smack it out with a decent sized hammer. Once this is out you then need to split the joint, dont worry about using a splitter its getting changed anyway. You may have to remove part of the inner wing cover, normally a couple of 10mmbolts and you should be able to see both wishbone nuts.i think the nuts are 15mm and the bolts are 17 or 18.Then remove wishbone. Putting it back in have a decent screwdriver to help you line the holes up. A large breaker bar comes in handy the nuts and bolts can sometimes be very tight.Hope this helps Quote
