mk2vr6 Posted January 4, 2008 Author Report Posted January 4, 2008 the official answer is... , the recommended replacement interval for the pollen filter is 10,000 miles, which explains why we recommend the Captiva is serviced at 10,000 miles. Quote

So, for the sake of changing the pollen filter at 10000 miles they decided in their wise wisdom to state that the vehicle should also be serviced at this mileage. So what happens to the Vauxhall pollen filter? Is it a longer-life version filter or do you hoover it clean yourself? Quote
mk2vr6 Posted January 4, 2008 Author Report Posted January 4, 2008 no idea I was just looking through the chevy/vauxhall website looking at the captiva/antara as I'm looking for something to replace the VR with and found a question and answer section this one struck me as a totally stupid reason for the decreased servicel interval! considering they are the same vehicle and will be serviced by the same people using the same parts!
