Guest Squire Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Hi - I have just purchased a used TDI Zetec, with 2000 miles on the clock. I notice there is an RAC card in the front of my manual - does that mean I have cover? If so, at what level and for how long? I also got greenflag cover free with my insurance company - what should I do? Your thoughts / experiences please. Squire Quote
HJT Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Did you buy from a Ford Dealer? If so they should transfer the warranty and RAC cover over to you. It usually takes a couple of weeks for the paperwork to come through. If the car was bought under the Ford Direct scheme, then you should get 2 years warranty and RAC cover. Howard Quote
Guest chunkyandlouie Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Try contacting the RAC and see if they can suspend the cover for you until the Green Flag expires. They did it for me when I bought my, then 1 year old car, and then re-instated the cover when I gave them the go ahead. Always wise to get them to confirm in writing though. Quote
