mk2vr6 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 rip it out and bin it or stick a band expander in, available online via most good jap importers, the first option is a better one  Quote

Should I replace with a ford radio I would want something that matched the facia. Quote
mk2vr6 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 depends on what models in there? if it's a standard Ford unit a Uk spec replacement should drop right in and work the multi changer? Quote
skippy 2 Posted December 31, 2007 Author Report Posted December 31, 2007 depends on what models in there? if it's a standard Ford unit a Uk spec replacement should drop right in and work the multi changer?I should think a ford radio would be quite expensive buying one on ebay could be an option what do think? Or from the breakers. Its just a risk if it does'nt work the interchanger. There ia shop called in car solutions that could advise I might ask there first. Quote

I don't have the remote stalk on my gal so nothing lost there. When I changed the radio on my old vauxhall which had the radio controls on the steering I lost the use of these. Quote
mk2vr6 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 yes IIRC it's possible to use a none oe head unit and still keep the oe changer unit Quote
