koro Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Hi,In a previous thread Fredt gave out an address of a supplier that converts central locking to remote. In th thread dq replied "Yes the supplier mentioned by fredt is worth contacting as the module just plugs in and no faffing with wiring and scotchlock connectors" Stupidly I never bookmarked the site, unfortunately fredt has deleted all his posts.I have droped dq an e-mail, who hopefully will no where the site is, just in case he dosn't remember , does anyone else know of the site that fredt refers to. ThanksKoro Quote

_dg Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Just to clarify, I'm not quite sure if it just plugs in! The unit is just a small box with a few terminal contacts protuding - it looks like a large relay (which I suppose it essentially is). Anyway, you get a small 4 wire loom, and although the instructions are in German, they do seem to mention having to locate the wires for the locking motor and also a live and earth. The guy at c and r said it just plugs in, and also the box describes it as the 'M20 plug in'. I have not yet had the time to fit the unit it or tanslate the instructions properly, so I don't know if it does just plug in. Incidently the unit (M20) seems to have a fixed wireless code and comes with just one key cover transmitter, whereas the one on the website is the M320 which has a rolling code and comes with an extra key fob tansmitter. I just hope once I fit it, that I don't park near anyone on the same remote frequency Quote
koro Posted February 3, 2004 Author Report Posted February 3, 2004 Thanks _dg for the info, don't suppose anyone can come up with a cheaper alternative, still using a radio frequency? looks like the one mentioned will cost upwards of Quote
Mussey1 Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 dg, I bought a Cobra 1046 remote locking sytem for approx Quote
_dg Posted February 4, 2004 Report Posted February 4, 2004 I've located a German site that sells the m320s. Its at http://tinyurl.com/242jp. On the page is a link to 'further product information', from where you can download the instructions in a French or German pdf. Now this one seems to require fitting via a cable and is a complete solution If you search this site for M20 Radio Remote Control - the Budget S (or just M20) then you will see an image of the one I have, which C&R sell for about Quote
