MrT Posted February 2, 2004 Report Posted February 2, 2004 Does the facelifted Galaxy, 2.8i Ghia Auto (204bhp) mid 2001, have the same ECU as the Sharan? Is it running PWM or ISO protocol? The only thing I can glean from the car is that it has a purple 16 pin connector under the fusebox on the RHS of the column. Has anyone used VAG-COM on a Galaxy and did they select the Sharan or Alhambra as type? I have been told that VAG-COM only works on VW derivative engines but not Ford and that Galaxies can have either, how do I know which derivitave I have? Quote

As the 2.8 engine is a VW engine, I would think so. The data link connector (DLC) is a standard 16-pin connector, which connects the communication lines (CAN, SCP and ISO 9141), the EEPROM programming line and the diagnostic tester power supply. Quote
