Scope Posted December 18, 2007 Author Report Posted December 18, 2007 I'll answer some of the questions myself; they are vented, come with sensors and are 300mm thick, is this the correct thickness for a 03 galaxy? Is Quote
adrianf. Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 I would have thought its a fair price for Mintex. I think ive read on here in the past that some people dont like mintex but i always used them in my younger days and thats when i needed good brakes if you know what i mean and i found them very good. Beyond Help? Posted December 28, 2007 Report Posted December 28, 2007 I am fascinated by your perception that OEM brake disks and pads are better value because they last longer. Whilst I would not recommend brake pads that cost Quote
Scope Posted January 7, 2008 Author Report Posted January 7, 2008 Just an update.. I fitted the new Mintex brake pads/discs yesterday and must say that is probably the easiest Quote

seatkid Posted October 26, 2011 Report Posted October 26, 2011 There is a lot of misinformation about brake parts. Mintex and Pagid are both subsiduries of TMD friction group. Effectively the same product, Pagid is an OE supplier to many manufacturers, whereas Mintex is an aftermarket brand. Lots of brake manufacturers claim to be OEM, its a slightly creative claim in many cases. Most car manufacturers will have at least two suppliers for each model variant, and maybe more for the entire range of cars. Beware that there are a lot of fake counterfeit brake products around particularly on fleabay, most being vastly inferior chinese product. Quote

Well I wish I could have wrote this, it covers everything that matters I couldn't for the life of me remember TMD so you have helped me fix that bit that was missing from my memory also.If people take not of your words chances are they will buy a quality product, I use Mintex from a local supplier authorised by Mintex you get the hologram on the box which I hope the chinesse don't do. But I have always been happy with them and I can and do drive very quickly at times yet never had brake fade but did get it with the original VW pads. Quote
