Wibbly Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 When I try to use the rear screen wash it doesn't work, and sounds like the water is coming out somewhere near the front nearside footwell. I guess there's a join that's popped off/apart? A dealer once fixed this for me during a service, but don't want to wait this time. Is this common, and anyone know where exactly I should be looking? sanjsanj Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 (edited) yup!If you sit in the front passenger seat, the leak is under the carpet just where your left foot rests.clicky here for more info. I was about to welcome you to this forum, but then i saw your member number: 8. WOW Also, don't quote me, but I think I read somewhere that there is no need to remove the weather seal. mumof4 Posted December 16, 2007 Report Posted December 16, 2007 is the water coming out from outside the care? as there is a join but it is inside the car..is the passenger footwell wet.? Quote
Wibbly Posted December 16, 2007 Author Report Posted December 16, 2007 I've only had a little squirt, so to speak, so no water obvious inside yet. Will follow the link above. Thanks. Quote
Wibbly Posted December 16, 2007 Author Report Posted December 16, 2007 (edited) All done, and added my experiences in the other thread. There was a little dampness in the carpet. Not sure how to deal with that. I guess it should dry out on it's own, given there's no more watter being added (I hope)... Edited December 16, 2007 by Wibbly Quote
owlsman Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 I have a problem with my rear wiper, its not working, but i don't think they're is a leak? Ive tried sucking the water through, I can feel it bubbling but thats about it.Could they're be a blockage in the pipe? Its an X 2001 Galaxy 2.3 Ghia (Manual) Quote
TimsBamma Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 Wiper Motor or Water Jet not working? If Wiper Motor check the wiring linking body to tailgate, common wire breaking point. If water jet not workinghave you checked the connections on the water bottlebehind the arch liner in the Front N/S, to see if motor operates?Do you have a puddle in the Passenger footwell? If not check here anyway as my water pipe seperated but didn't leak (must've had a valve connection) I'd been without a rear water jet for 18mths (since buying the car) and had stripped all the tailgate covers cabling arch liners and lord knows what else before wondering if previous owner had sealed a broken pipe (they hadn't but it had seperated) Quote
