AMSXR4X4 Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 just wondering if any one has had this problem befor and can help me find it. It started a few weeks back as a occasional flash of the oil light and now its on constantley. i have changed the oil + filter and pressuer switch with no change. I am confident its not a lack of pressuer from pump problems or blockage ect. its a Y reg with 101000 on the click but it runs as sweet as a nut the temp has never gon up or there is no noise from the engine even though the light has been on most of the time for over 100 miles. I have come to the conclusion its a electrical fault between the oil pressuer switch and the light somewere. If any one can help with this it would be grate and will save me re wiering the hloe engin ha ha thanks Andrew Quote
mumof4 Posted December 14, 2007 Report Posted December 14, 2007 Try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins, make sure you have the keycode for your radio when you do this.I had this prob and replaced all sorts inc the oil pressure switch and oil level sensor, and the light stayed on till i disconnected the battery . I cannot claim it will cure your problem though it might. Quote
