whitty Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 gonna do an oil change on the galaxy got filter ect from ford, went to do it today and the filter is in a canister on the front of the block but it looks like i will need a special tool to get it undone does anyone know what size they are? whitty Posted December 13, 2007 Author Report Posted December 13, 2007 it' from the top and they are made from a very brittle type of plastic i wouldn't recommend using either of those tools on it if you really don't have to you can buy the correct tool for these types of housing but im not 100% on the size thats all Quote
adrianf. Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 I see your point. In the past ive used the chain type oil wrench (carefully) and had no problems at all. On a couple of occasions ive even managed to undo it by hand providing it wasnt put on too tight to start with. Quote
