Help

My front windscreen wipers have started to operate on their own. All the time the ignition is on they are working. Going to stupid speed when the washer applied .

Even when fuses 8 and 29 for wipers pulled they still operate. Only when the relay is pulled from level 3 on the fuse box (What a pain to get to) do they stop

Not an auto electrician so no real clues

Help

Had really bad rain on Saturday PM, Went into town Sunday coming out of a roundabout wipers went crazy faster than normal fat wipe. and when washers used even faster still so much so that the blades kept bashing each other as it was out of sequence. and whilst sitting still it rocked the whole car

What year and model is this haunted vehicle?

Or do I have to gaze into my crystal ball? ;)

I forsee 3 possibillities:-

an (intermittent) short in the wiring loom to the motor

a faulty wiper motor module (which can be changed seperately from motor itself)

a faulty GEM

and soon youre going to meet a tall dark handsome stranger.... ;)
