katz568 Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 My galaxy was smoking really badly (was a white/blue colour with a nasty fuel type smell to it) when slowing down or coming to a stop at lights etc so i took it in yesterday where they diagnosed the glow plug on the aux heater had failed and replaced it. Straight after picking it up it started the same sort of smoking and has done it today as well again. Could it just be that there are deposits that need to be burnt off now the glow plug is changed or could it be that the aux heater unit has failed too? How long would you wait before taking it back if it continues to smoke? Thanks in advanceKatrina Quote
Saif Rehman Posted December 8, 2007 Report Posted December 8, 2007 Could be that the unit needs de-coking. I'm sure i have read somwhere on this forum that this could be the problem. Either that or take it back to the garage who fitted the plug for a check-up. Quote
malcolm.dobell Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Mine did this for a few days and then settled down Quote
insider Posted December 10, 2007 Report Posted December 10, 2007 Might just be unburnt fuel being cleared out of the heater? As the previous poster suggests it might clear up in a few days. Quote
