Littlematt_2007 Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 We are currently looking for a good condition mkII Galaxy, or mkII sharan or MkII Alhambra, Espace is costing a bomb in fuel prices for our 2.2 dci deisel unit, we are getting maximum of 28mpg and thats on long journeys. We have seen a couple of nice examples..... i always knew we would end up looking for a galaxy again :D Thanks,Matty :D Quote
adrianf. Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 well i think its down to the best deal you can get cos as you know they are all the same. Used to have a Gal Ghia TDI but now have an Alhambra SE TDI. Very little difference really but the Seat has a few extra bits here and there like heated seats & leccy folding mirrors. The ride is a bit sportier as they have a sports set up but to be honest on a car this size and weight its still not what i would call sporty but it does have less roll in the corners than the Gal. I wouldnt worry about which one to get, just look for the best deal Quote
gregers Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 depends on how deep your pockets are and the spec your looking for,but this looks a good dealhttp://www.friday-ad.co.uk/AdRef/WS6791290...llAdDetails.asp dont know where your based but type in ford galaxy in the friday ad,loads come up!!!hth. insider Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Espace is costing a bomb in fuel prices for our 2.2 dci deisel unit, we are getting maximum of 28mpg and thats on long journeys. That wouldn't be my only reason for changing from a Renault to a Shalaxy but that mpg is horrendous for a diesel. Have you had it checked? Surely there must be a problem with it? You'd get better mpg from a 2.3 petrol Galaxy! Quote
mumof4 Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Hiya Matty, good to see you back again.Might be a good idea to remind us in what area that you are looking . Gotta agree with insider, that MPG for a diesel MPV is very low.Tell the powers that be it might be worth getting it checked out.
