Vag Com And Aux Heater Not Talking

hi , any one know why my vag com 3.11 with the shareware software wont talk to my aux heater. i know it only talks to a handful of modules, but i am sure it used to communicate with the heater module a couple of years earlier when i cleared some dtc codes, checked various other things etc.

the heater wont boot up i now , i just wanna check the codes before i dismantle and replace the glow plug , if it is that.

Have you made sure the engine is running when you interrogate heater?

hi , yes i have tried it with engine running, and with the ignition on (only too ). it doest wanna talk in auto scan mode, or in individiual mode. does the heater have to be running for it to talk? i,m sure i cleared a flameout code last year????

 

do you think a registede version of vag com would be successful.
