jkspoff Posted November 24, 2007 Report Posted November 24, 2007 A forum like this can indeed put off a prospective buyer, however, you will find that with most cars they have their fare share of faults, I would suggest that you have a read through the most common problems, and make sure you are happy that your possible new motor doesn't yet have them, and get a good warranty, it will lead to many years of happy motoring, in what is by far the best people carrier out there. big_kev Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 It is one of the nicest cars out there to own. The majority of the problems are from older vehicles and in most cases are what would be classed as fair wear & tear. Also remember you don't get people posting to say that everything is fine ( these are by far the majority ). p.s. what spec. is it Ghia etc and does it have any nice add-ons sat-nav, dvd etc. Quote
stromrider Posted November 25, 2007 Author Report Posted November 25, 2007 Thanks for the replies the car is a 2.3ghia auto ,no dvd player.I went for another test drive today it drives really well, the only faults I can find are the remote locking does'nt work the garage say they will fix it.In the paper work there is a bill to fix a water leak in the left hand side footwell in March 07 the carpet still feels damp underneath and there is a small piece off trim missing where carpet fits under the seat the garage are replacing the trim and looking any water leak.It comes with 3 months warranty I will get it well and truly checked over while it's still in warranty.I pick the car up next saturday trading in a much loved Rover 75 club estate, looking forward to many years trouble free motoring. cheers stromrider Quote
