big_kev Posted November 7, 2007 Report Posted November 7, 2007 My first thought would be a sticky brake pedal switch..or relay Quote
dead fords haunt you Posted November 7, 2007 Author Report Posted November 7, 2007 had all that lot replaced last week Quote
dead fords haunt you Posted November 8, 2007 Author Report Posted November 8, 2007 changed both this morning got 10 miles down the road and the same thing looks like i the local fraud garage to me :P thanks anyway :D Quote
Neils TDi again Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 It sounds like the throttle pedal sensor is worn and the ECU is losing contact with the resistance. Quote
big_kev Posted November 8, 2007 Report Posted November 8, 2007 It sounds like the throttle pedal sensor is worn and the ECU is losing contact with the resistance. That would have been my next choice.... :P Then after that I would be looking at the Relays. I would investigate further before taking to a Fraud Dealer, they will probably say faulty ECU or something similar....it will involve a lot of money anyway and they probably won't fix it. Quote
dead fords haunt you Posted November 9, 2007 Author Report Posted November 9, 2007 had nice man from the RAC out today and they told me it was the throttle sensor they come as a unit with the pedal Quote
