hello

i had a van hit the back of my car stopped got his name reg no mobile no(my car probaly write off)told my insurance and his reg plate is not on system tried

ringing up does,nt answer from my phone so tried sister phone an answer but was told the person in question was,nt in today and he was one of his workers he told me name of company and base of company (not in yellow pages as he,s small sub contractor i hope(tried ringing again today no answer)

What have your insurance peeps said?..if his vehicle isnt insured, and hes not answering your calls, then if it were me id get the police involved...the person who answered may have been him trying to fob you off...stranger things have happened.

I agree with mo4 - it sounds like the vehicle is not on the insured vehicle register. If you can't get hold of the guy, have a chat with the cops - there's a chance the vehicle could be on false plates and/or uninsured.

thanks everyone by stoke of luck saw van again wrote down number plate and it was slighty different from what he gave me was 5 instead of 8 (still don,t count for him ignoring phone calls but this time it registered as insured(

id still get the police involved anyway, that way you get an incident number for your insurance company and if the police pay him a vist he will not be thinking he has a chance of getting away with it.

its always good idea to report any accident to your local station, that way you keep insurers happy,and if anything eg .noninsured vehicle.then the police will have the info.

jeeze, unleaded here is 102.9 and diesel is 105.9 that went up over night from 100.9 and 103.9 is a bloody rip off. tesco is 96.9 unleaded, and with their coupons i filled up at 91.9.Saving myself a fair bit of dosh.

Up here in Sunny Scotland away from all the weather warnings :P .........at the moment unleaded at 96.9p and diesel at 98.9p (ASDA) using your ASDA credit card takes 2p off per litre.
