Tow Bar Advice

Hi, i have just bought a 56 reg 140 Zetec Gal tdci and need to buy a tow bar for pulling the caravan. Can anyone give me some advice of Make, price etc as the back parking cencers may be a problem .

Mine had a Witter fitted with twin electrics and I didn't have a problem with the rear parking sensors. They are semi intelligent and you can program the sensing distances using VAG-COM.

Not with the latest Galaxy - VAGCOM only really works on VAG Group cars.

Dave, is it a MII or MIII Galaxy?

 

The wiring kits change at 07/06 onwards; I think the wiring may be CAN-Bus after this date

 

There are kits for 13pin available, recommended as all new UK caravans now have the single 13pin plug, or it could be adapted for 2x7pin

Worked ok on mine with parking sensors, as long as you get the twin electrics fitted out of the way, if you live in West Yorkshire or there abouts I can put you in touch with a really good home fitter.
