Galaxy Wont Start

Hi my brothers galaxy wont start, it kicks over fine but just wont start, he had a mobile mechanic out and he felt that both fuel and spark were getting through but couldn't work it out any ideas? I will try to find out more info thanks Richard.

er hasnt lost the transponder chip from the key by any chance has he?

maybe the imobiliser is stuck on or faulty.its happened to me in the past

Spark on a diesel???? ........... good mechanic then!

 

Immobiliser's a good start (excuse the pun) as already suggested. Did he have any running problems before it started playing up?

Which model is it, year, fuel, gearbox ?

I thought that the diesels would start then die if it was the immobiliser?

Have you checked the engine stop solenoid? Although if fuel is getting through then it probably won't be this (if the "mechanic" can be trusted!)
