I have a MK1 Galaxy and the speed of the wipers is fast, regardless of what setting I use. Its just the speed, they function as they should in terms of the setting they are on for example intermittant is every 20/30 seconds but when the wipers goes across the screen they move as fast as the fastest setting. if that makes sense???

second time reading..yep..makes sense. When on intermittant, they whoosh across the screen like in fast speed, but there is a pause in between each wipe whereas in fast they dont pause just continuous..if i understood it right,

As far as your heated rear screen goes, I had a similar problem a few years ago on an XR3i but I lost radio signal too as the element is also the aerial.

The solution was some "silver loaded" epoxy resin which IIRC came from RS Components. Basically it is an electrically conductive epoxy glue.

Seem to chasing electrical problems around the car at the moment.

Sorted:

rear demister fault
reversing light switch fault
sun shade vanity mirror light that was staying on

Still got to sort:

Window Wiper Speed
Interior Lights (when doors are open) - just dont work.. but work if I manually switch on!
