mk2vr6 Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 you dont! you get someone with the right equipment to it for you, either the dealers or a mobile locksmith Quote
NikpV Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 see reply to your pm - summary WDS2000(ford) autolocksmith (still waiting for someone to have this done )- vag - com with 3 IIRC bits of info from the dealer which is difficult to obtain unless you have a mate in a dealership of course Quote
tiny Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 A mate of mine who needed to program a key for IIRC an old escort, but only had one key (or was missing the red key) took the transponder out of his good key and glued it to the outside of the ignition barrell. Any key cut to pattern would then work. I dont know if this works on VAG systems but if your not bothered about the immobiliser it could be worth a try. Quote
mk2vr6 Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 (edited) it would work but your insurance company wouldnt be to impressed if they found out! autolocksmith (still waiting for someone to have this done )- why wait I have already had it done B) Edited October 16, 2007 by mk2vr6 Quote
fastphil Posted October 16, 2007 Report Posted October 16, 2007 if you glue a transponder to your barrelany correct cut key with start your carand invalidate your insuranace if it gets stolen Quote

semitac Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I have managed to program the door locking on my key fob. The problem I have is that when the key is inserted into the ignition it does not work. The spare key works fine. I got the procedure to program the key in the ignition barrel. However, the procedure asks for 2 keys. Insert key1 then key 2 and then add the key to program. It is key 2 (remote key) that needs programming again. How do I solve this one, without going to ford and paying Quote
