adrianf. Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) O dear Put very simple the track control arm is on each end of the stearing rack and turns the front wheels from side to side and rubber bushes are mounted at various points around the suspension and stearing set up to enable some flexibility and movement. In other words yours is knackered and there is too much movement. Adrian Edited October 15, 2007 by adrianf Quote
mickyt Posted October 15, 2007 Author Report Posted October 15, 2007 ant the price reasonable or notwhat do you think? Quote
JohnR Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 The track control arm is part of the lower wishbone. I did mine 3 weeks ago. The job took about 45 minutes per side. You need jacks and stands plus 19,21 and 22 spanners/sockets and a hex key (6mm I think, but could be 8). Here's the link to the ones I got:-http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUSPENSION-WISHBONE-...VQQcmdZViewItem I also did the front disks and pads. Biggest problem is undoing the 27mm hex bolts for the front callipers....need a chunky straight ring spanner and 4lb hammer! Quote
sparky Paul Posted October 15, 2007 Report Posted October 15, 2007 (edited) Put very simple the track control arm is on each end of the stearing rack and turns the front wheels from side to side They're the track rod ends. There does seem to quite a bit of confusion between these two parts. JohnR is correct, the track control arms are the bottom suspension arms or 'wishbones'. New track control arms come with the bushes fitted. Edited October 15, 2007 by sparky Paul Quote
