Guest stevev Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 Hi all.. New to this forum, although I feel a bit of a cheat as I have a Sharan, but I guess for my problem Galaxy drivers may have some answers.... Most of the bubs in the high level break light are not working, leaving only the two at each end on when the brake is depressed. A simple job I thought, change the bulbs and move on.. Ahh.. the problem is HOW do you get to the bulbs? I guess that the large plastic trim around the top of the boot door needs to come off, but I can't see where to pull/push/twist etc to remove it.. I don't want to force it and find out that there was a better way to remove it without snapping it! Any advice on removing the trim would be very well received... Regards Steve V Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted January 26, 2004 Report Posted January 26, 2004 This is why the handbook says leave it to the dealer! Not sure of the best way to remove the trim, have been looking for special "pry" tools for such a purpose but not found any yet. Wooden kitchen spoons plus a saw and file, perhaps? Quote
batteryboy Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 The fault on my old 99s 2.3ghia Galaxy was not the bulds, but a broken wire in the flexible loom between the tailgate and the bodywork. Quote
Topbloke Posted April 9, 2004 Report Posted April 9, 2004 i have just been outside and took the hi level brake light off the rear screen from my 98 galaxy so the sharan must be different Quote
