adrianf. Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Ok ive received two refunds throught paypal for things i bought on Ebay which didnt arrive. It says ive received the refunds and the the status is complete on one and pending on the other.(been like this for two days) My question is do i have to do anything else to get them into my bank account or do i just have to sit and wait. Ive never had a problem before so never had a refund so its a bit double dutch to me . Cheers folks Adrian. Quote
mumof4 Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 the one pending may be an e-cheque which means about 10 days to clear....there is no charge to transfer to a bank if less or over a certain amount..cant remember which but you will have to go into your account and transfer the money into your bank account or just leave in paypal so that if you do make another paypal purchase it will use the money in the paypal account rathger than other means......just be aware the pending one may take a while to clear...you should be able to see if it is an e-cheque. crazybear_uk Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Sounds like the person(s) doing the refund have done it as a new transaction, if it was done correctly they should have done your refund from the original payment made by you and would appear straight away in your account. you will probly find that paypal now charge you for the transaction which means you dont get the full amount back. i.e the item cost you Quote
adrianf. Posted October 2, 2007 Author Report Posted October 2, 2007 Thanks for the help folks. In the file activity box under the "type" heading it does say refund I just wish i understood it more. It not for large amounts but thats not the point. Have be trying to get the goods or a refund for over a month now, so i got paypal involved and had the rufunds in under 24 hours. Quote
AndeeeH Posted October 2, 2007 Report Posted October 2, 2007 Hi Adrian, just had a similar experience with an item that didn't arrive and then the seller mysteriosly left ebay. I tried emailing them but didn't receive an answer so went into my Paypal account and found their telephone no. under the transaction details. Made one phone call and spoke to the ex-ebayers 'Dad' :D ; one day later a full refund appeared in my paypal account. As mentioned by 'crazybear' he must of refunded via the original transaction as I got it all back. If the money has been put back onto your card it will appear as a minus amount against a credit card, whether you used a credit or debit card for the original payment. Andy. Quote
