in the boot space on the left hand side just under the window should be a flap you lift up and reveal the cd unit

Is that my left or your left ?

Hmm thats a sham, I checked the right side (as you look in) for the cars jack and tool set, no sign of a multichanger though.

Higher up....above the wheel arch and below the window

Should look like this....the lift up cover below the window

Mine has a cd changer but the magazine wont come out, any ideas??

Also can you get a cubby hole for the left hand side of the boot, or give me some ideas about creating extra storage space?

Thankyou

Did you manage to get the magazine out? ........ If not ....leave the ignition and the head unit switched off. Press and hold the eject button on the changer and you should hear the mechanism trying to eject the magazine. If it doesn't move then use the ends of your fingers on your other hand to give it some assistance. If you can't hear anything when pressing the eject button then make sure the conector at the bottom is fully connected. ...... worked for me.

Nope, you have a great big, big, big heater in there ( aircon as well on some models ).

Possibly you could make use of the right hand side, take out the jack etc and stow them under the front passenger seat.

With some modification you may be able to do something.

Well, I still cant get the CD changer magazine out, so I am going to have to disect it. If anyone has some instructions and a little diagram, then that would help.

Still not seen any center glove box mounted sat nav screens, so I think someone else should have a go at it first to show me how its done.

Pics coming for the work I have already done soon.

Ok, the way i got the magazine out of mine..bear in mind it may cause scratches..get a knife..(ordinary one), slide it down inside on the top of the magazine...and pull upwards whilst pressing down on the magazine. Its how i got mine out.(may help to press the eject button at the same time.)

If you try this, then i cannot be held responsable for any damage you may cause as its on your own head if you do it.

Hi,

I've got exactly the same problem with my cd changer - a Sony CDX-T69.

I have taken the cover off then carefully removed the main unit from its casing by releasing the four pins from the suspension rubbers (I hope this was the right thing to do), and then pulling a lever at the far end of the unit. This ejected the cartridge but there must be something else wrong with it (or other mechanism jammed) as when I power it up and plug the cartridge back in it does exactly the same thing again.

Any more ideas.

Steve
