Chard1966 Posted September 26, 2007 Report Posted September 26, 2007 Now I own a 04 Galaxy TDI Zetec I am a bit of a muppit ? ,I have noticed that most Galaxy's new or old have suffered the dredded tyre fitters mark (jacking directly on the cil lips distroying them.My sisters Galaxy was damaged,Wile being repaired she was given a 56 plate Sharan,I checked this out and found it to have some very nice Cil Covers.Talking to my local Ford dealer these covers are not available,I took the reg no of the Sharan to VW and have now got the part no's these were ordered.Well the first cil was fitted, to my supprise all the holes were already there about 30 mins, the second cil took 10 mins. This is probebly the best mod you can do to your Galaxy.THEY LOOK THE DOGS Quote

adrianf. Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 So are they to prevent a damaged sill or just to cover a damaged one up ??? Quote
mumof4 Posted September 27, 2007 Report Posted September 27, 2007 either or i would expect. They do look good though..a lot better than a crushed rusting cill. Quote

TimsBamma Posted June 23, 2008 Report Posted June 23, 2008 You can get proper mudflaps which fit around the Sillcover as well http://www.seat.co.uk/generator/su/uk/SEAT...ories/main.html I'm sure that there is a VW version as well Quote

daddyfixit Posted March 16, 2014 Report Posted March 16, 2014 an old post; today I fitted a pair of sharan sill kits I bought from mirez, ive had them a few weeks but got up early today as part of a planned car day ! no instructions so it was all guess work, took about 4 hours on my back with one wheel jacked up at a time, cant believe how much damage was done by the r-soles at the insurance -approved bodyshop !!! the front drivers side has been pushed up about half an inch.......................so the fixing frame needed work to get it to fit so the outer cover would click on. I also cut the front mudflaps to fit back on again so the car looks really well now !!! next week I am going to fit a pair of aftermarket fog lights to the bumper blanks, as I have had a boxed pair in the garage since before I even got the car. !!
