I am looking at selling my Galaxy, but where is best to sell? Does anyone know of the most successful place i.e Autotrader / ebay.

It will be a private sale as I have already got a new car and it will be sad to see it go but it must go!!!

I was thinking along the lines of Autotrader or a classified on Ebay, I think the auctions dont work that well!.

I am unsure what to ask for Galaxy as there are so many conflicting prices. Its a 1.9 diesel with 100,000 on clock on an 02 plate with FSH in generally good condition, stone chips and the odd scratch aside? any thoughts

Don't put it in an auction .... you'll get next to nothing for it even with a reserve price on it. Autotrader or E-Bay .... remember you'll still have to pay

I sold my Xantia on ebay, it fetched far more than I was expecting, no one asked any technical questions about it, no one came to view it (and therefore no test drives). It worked for me

I bought my Galaxy of ebay last December, mine (as you can see from the signature) is a Zetec and had about the same miles as yours, with a full documented/print-out service history, 1 owner and in excellent condition - i paid

AutoTrader or local newspapers (Birmingham Post and Mail, Coventry Evn. Telegraph, etc.)

Funnily enough, the sucess rate for local newspapers is nearly as high as AutoTrader, and it's usually cheaper.
