Johnny B Goode Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007  I`ve had my mk3 2ltr Tdi Ghia for about 3 months now, had no problems yet , and find it much more comfortable and powerful than our mk 2 , fuel economy is good (ie. school run and motorway) returning a good 40 mpg on the computer. I would find it hard to change to anything else as it does all we ask of it . Cheerz John Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted October 7, 2007 Report Posted October 7, 2007 If only it had a full-sized spare wheel and was a little shorter so it would fit in my garage (and if only I had the money ......) Quote

Cheerz John I also meant to say that my only "niggles" so far are that the rear side windows don`t open and I think the door and rear side panel "chrome/ polished" strips are a bit dull and could be a lot better. There ya go ! belleyetere Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 Hi all first posting. We have just ordered a 1.8 tdci galaxy ghia. Due christmas. Motability car. I have also been told by my parents that the airport taxi they have just used for there holiday return was a new galaxy. Just under a year old and allready 97000 miles on the clock. Do not know what engine it had They said it was more comfy then the merc people carrier they were taken in. I would think doing that sort of milage in a year the galaxy can not be all that bad.Robert. Quote

astudystar Posted October 17, 2007 Report Posted October 17, 2007 I find the new MKIII much more spacious and powerful than the MKII I have driven before. Slight issue with 6 speed box though, doesn't like low speeds, unless its just my 1.8 TDCi version. Plenty of storage but why no spare wheel? Makes the missus very nervous!! All in all an improvement, so far. Stu Quote
