NikpV Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 blue smoke and then today it took off by its self and wouldent turn of was this a case of seals going and engine oil being burnt as fuel Quote
Smilge Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 New Turbo?? ....... sounds like the oil seal has gone on it. Thought about a repair rather than replacing with new? Quote
mumof4 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 Umm..if you bought it from a garage, take it back and let them sort it out. Quote
crow2727 Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 blue smoke and then today it took off by its self and wouldent turn of was this a case of seals going and engine oil being burnt as fueli not sure my turbo still working but smoking still you think gasket seal on the inlet manafold might be leting oil into turbo Quote
crow2727 Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 how difficult a job is it to check out the turbo, is it something that can be done easily on the driveway or is it a specialist job only ? Quote
mumof4 Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 I think most of us work on the driveway. ;) ...couple of members have removed the whole dash on the driveway before now..... Quote
