CasaPaulo Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Glancing thru the specs for the current Alhambra, one of the additions now std is the 'cooled glove box' This strikes me as very useful. I frequently drive to hot Spain and am tempted by this toy. Anyone got the latest model and care to advise on how efficient the cold glove box is? std glove box size? I've got a quiet 12v fridge (too big really) and drains the battery and it always seem to have a car load of junk on top of it. The smaller 12v box has a noisy fan and is awkward to open. I'm certaintly not gonna lose a seat position for the expensive std accessory fridge. I seem to recall someone with a Renault or Citroen praising their cold glove box. Are they any good? Quote
Guest Andyjflet Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 My old Vectra had a glovebox cooled by the Air con via a pipe and closeable hole. As I was on the road all the time I could keep a mars and a drink in there in hot weather without fear of melting. Until it warned up again of course, it was a nice touch I thought Quote
Richmond Posted January 23, 2004 Report Posted January 23, 2004 Some new or updated model or the other (Vauxhall?) has a glove compartment which can be cooled or heated, so you can keep your beer warm and your take away cold, or rather the other way around, although presumably not at the same time. This seems to me to be a damn sight more use than, for example, dual air conditioning (although I suppose it is a form of dual air conditioning) or front fog lamps :(. Quote
