Octavia L&K Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 mpg is a bit like seeing who has the biggest todger in this here forum!..Luckily i have nothing to prove as i dont have one!LOL. In my car, because it doesn't have the aerodynamics of a wardrobe, sideways. I can regularly get (on longer motorway journeys) upto 70MPG, but because i have a lead right foot, and alot of power under the bonnet, i normally get around 35 mpg. So if we are going by Mumof4's reasoning, I win, Because i have a big todger, but must also know how to use it!! lol. Chris Quote

seatkid Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 Well done Dewsy - thats around 39mpg..... Would love to comment further but I'm concentrating on the great crash in the finacial markets which will probably start in earnest this week. I recomend anyone with investments, particularly shares, pensions or Isas tied up with stocks and shares etc to keep their eyes peeled over the next 2 - 3 weeks and be prepared to act quickly. House prices will also start to crash but we all need somewhere to live and it will be a good thing for future generations to see common sense return to house prices. Quote
gregers Posted September 10, 2007 Report Posted September 10, 2007 a bit of insider information there then seatkid???? Quote

Thanks SK that's cheered me up no end ! Would now be a good time to sell the house and move into rented for a couple of years then buy another house when the prices are rock bottom ? Quote
Bigjeeze Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 I'm with Sk on this one - House prices are stupidly high - and there are too many people making a fortune with no thought for the future- Bring on the crash!! Quote

mumof4 Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Thinking about it....the Gal holds 70 litres ..is twice the size of my veccy...and she holds 60 litres......so why is the gals only 10 litres more?..Is there an average sized tank that is fitted to most cars??..Hmm..i know..thinking crap again..off to satisfy my curiosity. seatkid Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 cripes..ive just worked out that my veccy is averageing 31.33 mpg!..thought it would be worse than that. :rolleyes:Is that average or AVERAGE????? Anyway its sounds quite an average average although you seem to think it is better than average - more or less........anyway I assume you are an average person and know what AVERAGE means - i.e. mean average....... Just thought I would point it out first before someone else does..... <_< Quote
mumof4 Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 Hmm....now..the way i understand average....is that you take all your workings out..then pick the middle figure....or do you mean trimean, trimedian or normalized mean??now when i did my workings out to find my average..my average average was 31.33!!..i was expecting my average to be lower..round about the mid to late 20s.....but seeing as im older than that..my average is pretty ok considering that my average is 33 and my veccys average is 31.33!..so im happy. Quote
