Airrex7 Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 2.3 03 Galaxy LPG conv' My Galaxy had a major service not long ago, ever since then the engine check light remains on, the car however is running fine. The garage pluged it into their fault reader, cleared any fault codes, check light disapeared for a while, ( 10 miles), then came back on. Could the cause of the engine check light be an exhaust on the way out. Quote
syedorf Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 are you running the car on gas or petrol when the light comes on if it comes on when you are running on gas try getting the fault code erased then running on petrol and see if it comes on [you could try diconnecting the battery for half an hour to erase the trouble code but yuo will need to have your stereo code reset time etc i tried this on my alhambra to do the central locking then reprogramming the key but it failed ] i had this before on a grand cherokee and it was the gas system putting the light on Quote
syedorf Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 also think they could have disturbed something if it has done it since the service Quote

I run the vehicle on LPG all the time, accept the inicial warm/start up. I haven't tried the above, I don't know if the servoce guys did but I'll give it a go. However before the service, with the vehicle running on LPG. there was never an engine check light, it's since the service, the vehicle however is running great, it just un-nerves me a bit. Quote
