Hi all .

I'm trying to get a pair of HID headlights for my gal, which is left hand drive. I was told that the part numbers in question are 1203001 and 1203151 . Can anybody (having microcat maybe) verify this ?

well your memory is almost there Gregers - it was GSMguy (sells/fits kitchens in the manchester area) as seen here

He now has a volvo xc90 IIRC so doesnt pop up very often (last seen july) but his webpage is still valid http://www.kitchendream.co.uk/

so I expect his email link from his profile will probably work ok GSMGuy profile

See gregers what a real memory does for you  :D :16: although it doesnt answer the OP's question

At the risk of being flamed, can I humbly point out that aftermarket HID kits are now officialy illegal.

There is a letter published by DOT (its somewhere on HJ) stating the requirements of HID lights... self levelling, correct beam pattern, self washing and DOT approval.... and that no aftermarket kit has approval therefore making only factory fit HID's legal. Subsequently anyone fitting such kit is committing a criminal offence (their words not mine) and invalidating their insurance.

Thank you for your help Gregers, Nikpv.

Seatkid, regardless of the regulations in the UK (living in Greece), my intention is to retrofit a HID system using the factory parts. I'm sure you know that the part that makes the difference between factory fitted and aftermarket HIDs is the (self leveling, specially designed) headlight. This is why I'm willing to spend more, so that I can fit a system that really works (correct beam pattern), not just looking cool! And, letting no Fraud electrician mess with my car, is the only way to do it. Anyway, thank you for pointing this out .

Are you hoping to get one from a scrappy or a dealer? If it is through a dealer, then you might want to scrap the car as dealers will only sell unflashed modules (will need to connect car to IDS to program module) and the cost is a staggering
