handy andy Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 On the TIS CD there are details of the independant rear heating on the TDI models (presumably on scandinavian versions) where the heater can be programmed to come on for a max of 30 minutes using a time clock on the central roof console. This allows the car to be warmed before you get in on cold mornings. Has anybody ever come across this actually fitted, if so how well does it work? Also has anybody retro fitted it to a UK spec galaxy? Quote
gazza007 Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 Plenty of threads on this item if you do a search but basically the Diesel Aux heater that kicks in when outside temp is low or coolent temp is below 60 (I think) can be set by a timer. The unit requires a 2nd battery and will run for about 30 mins. It is not for rear heating. Never seen it on UK spec vehicles but would be a nice option. Quote
