marinabrid Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 hi alljust had a jolly week at blackpool, had to borrow a nasty 806 to seat 8 of us with grandma and grandad in there,. left the s reg 110 tdi at home for 8 days, on returning and trying to start the old gal it was a sod , it turned over for ages, then there was a beep and another beep, i took key out and tried again and after a bit more huffing and puffing it sprang into life, normally starts first turn of key. any ideas or is it just low pressure in fuel maybe after a week stood.thanks all. big_kev Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 Usually this is flat ( or flattish ) battery, especially if it is beeping at you. Quote
marinabrid Posted September 2, 2007 Author Report Posted September 2, 2007 it turned over with the usual good speed, i then released the key as it seemed to have been turning for 30 seconds. battery in good condition, just seems odd after standing. Quote
Stevoo Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 I had this as well on mine, the bleeping can be the immobliser. make sure the chip in your key hasnt come loose. Also you may find like me my ECU main relay no 30 is faulty, this runs the ecu and in turn switches the Fuel pump relay no 167 on. turk90210 Posted September 2, 2007 Report Posted September 2, 2007 you might find that if the beeping was after you had been turning it over for a while it will be a audible warning of low oil pressure which is normal if it wouldnt start but continued crankingAs regards the none starting or poor starting, have you done any fuel related maintanence as i wonder if it might be related to a possible air lock in the fuel lines. If air had managed to get into the system it would take a while to purge it out before starting orWhat are your glow plugs like, it shouldnt really need them unless the temp drops low enough but you never know Quote
