charles Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 the second row is to close to the front seats. the galaxy has a lot of space but this cannnot be used because of the fixed positioning. when the second row is removed, two passengers have a lot of room on the third row, but than they are seated just behind the rear window (safety!), too far away from the front seats. I would like extra openings in the floor halfway second and third row .Two adult passengers would have than enough space for their legs. Quote
ALARM MAN Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Then Sir should buy a Chrysler Voyager! Quote
Dave-G Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 :D slide the middle row seats fully aft, and remove the rear 2 seats........if that aint enough room then your passengers are 9 feet tall? :D Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted January 20, 2004 Report Posted January 20, 2004 Charles - do you realise that all the seats slide forward and back about 6 inches on their mountings? This should give you plenty of middle seat legroom so long as the third row seats are not tumbled forward (closed up). Quote
charles Posted January 21, 2004 Author Report Posted January 21, 2004 I know that the seats can be slided backwards 6 inch. Unfort. It's is not enough for my sons (1.85m) to strech their long legs. Quote
pj_andrew Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 I've not any problems with this. I (1.91m) sit in the middle row with the seat slid back and have plenty of room. I can't stretch my legs right out in front of me, is that your issue ? I've not found this an issue and can certainly sit comfortably in row 2. Quote
Dave-G Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 :D Prap's the spoilt boys are "daddies boyz" :D Try a vw caravelle....or a double deka :D Quote
italiastar Posted February 3, 2004 Report Posted February 3, 2004 Nice one Dave! After spending nearly 20 grand on my Alhambra, my mother in law (don't you just love em) pointed out that it didn't have a footwell in the rear. My daughter immediatly started complaining of poor seating position and backache - some thing she hadn't noticed during the numerous test drives. Of course her 4" heels had nothing to do with any of this discomfort. I told her that "when I was a lad" we didn't have a car and I had to walk everywhere - if she didn't like it she could walk - problem solved! Now my outlaw has gone and bought another car - guess what was the first thing I noticed about her car............... Quote
