i am thinking of adding a parking sensor to my '98 galaxy, and i wondered if anyone had found anything worth recommending? (other than ford's own)

There are any number of aftermarket kits available, it really depends on how much you want to spend and how much time you are prepared to spend making a good job of the installation.

these sites stock a couple of types of reverseing sensors, also try your local ice shop they should stock them and will be able to fit them as well.

The things are made by Kingavon (those lot that do all the car vacs, compressors etc). I found their number from the web and phoned them.

 

Must say though, probably didn't need to replace both, they can be a bit finicky, icy weather, moisture, car polish etc on them and they sound off. So if it does happen give them a quick clean first.
