i would suggest the following:

1. remove engine cover

2. make a cup of tea.

3. drink tea whilst studying engine bay for any loose wires, hoses with holes, oil spots, drips leaks, blah blah!

4. Drain fuel filter (easy)

5. Check air filter and box (leakage etc)

it could be the throttle.............

Else, a trip to the squeelers

Sorry but there are so many things that could do these things.

from water in the dieselfilter, but you would see some smoke.

to a worn dualmass clutch, which would be bad news but the shaking at tickover

is one of its trademarks.

But i do hope its something easy and cheap... goodluck.

Thinking out loud here....

could it be that the fuel mixture is too lean/rich??

the wobble at idle..surges of power....makes me think there is a prob with the idle control thingy maybe the car is trying to constantly find the right rev for what it needs.(not explaining clear i know)

on idle..when it wobbles...is it like as if the car is going to stall but doesnt??

turbo isnt used on idle..so it cant be turbo on idle..though it could be turbo at other times....though i think maybe cleaning the idle control valve thingy might be worth a shot???

just thoughts anyway.

I suggest you check the wiring loom to the unit injectors. The connectors at the injectors are known to become dodgy causing the intermittent symptoms you describe. Sometime just a clean up of connectors will suffice, other times you need a new (updated) loom, known problem according to previous posts.
