2.3 Oil Pressure Switch

Anyone know if I need to drain the oil before replacing?

is that like the oil pressure sender on a 1.9??..if so then i never did when changed mine.

Ooops..been having probs with this ere forum where it takes an age to load for me....i deleted one of the duplicate posts.

 

If its like the 1.9, then its just a case of removeing the old one and putting the new one in...mine was a bugger to do and it took the mechanic about 5/10 mins to swap em over as i couldnt get the old one out..bless him...never charged me a penny either.

I looked at the TIS and in the routine for checking oil pressure it does not mention having to drain the oil, just thought I'd check in with the place that knows.

I only know for the TDi as i changed the oil pressure sender and the oil level sensor..now that was a nightmare!!...great fun having a faceful of black oil! <_<
