mumof4 Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 There is a FAQ to preogramme keys....i guess it depends if the new keys start the car or not. Quote
peasey Posted August 23, 2007 Author Report Posted August 23, 2007 (edited) sorry , should have said that the keys DO NOT start the car, the guy said in his advert he has replaced the keys and after reprogramming it "should"fire up it just seems to good to be true and to cheap but im all for a bargain!!! mumof4 Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 sorry fella , should have said that the keys DO NOT start the car, the guy said in his advert he has replaced the keys and after reprogramming it "should"fire up it just seems to good to be true and to cheap but im all for a bargain!!! Fella!!!!!!!!!!..Ahem...im a lass.LOL. You can try the sequence in the FAQ section (which is in technical)...if that doesnt work then its a trip to fords to lighten your wallet! Fella indeed! Last i looked i didnt have the right equipment to be a fella!<_< Quote
NikpV Posted August 23, 2007 Report Posted August 23, 2007 sorry , should have said that the keys DO NOT start the car, the guy said in his advert he has replaced the keys and after reprogramming it "should"fire up it just seems to good to be true and to cheap but im all for a bargain!!! so if its so easy why hasn't he done it. if its a mk2 then you will need to get the car to fords to have them proogrammed - after all if he had 2 working keys he could programme them himself. If you dpont have one key working then you willhave to get the car towed/transported and will probably cost Quote
peasey Posted August 24, 2007 Author Report Posted August 24, 2007 sorry about the fella bit it wasnt until i read through my post i realized SORRY i did try to edit it but then it was to late opps!!! and to be honest i did think if it was easy then why hadnt he done it.i think im going to leave well alone as engines are more my thing and i saw one that went cheap, again on ebay,mkII busted head gasket!!mysearch continues Quote
big_kev Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 sorry about the fella bit Don't worry she's been called worse . Was it this one ? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=280144708698 Quote
mumof4 Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 Very true BK.. She does look like a pretty nice Gal...Reading his feedback he seems a genuine seller aswell. And at 2k starting price, very cheap indeed.May be a genuine reason why he hasnt had the keys programmed specially after getting the new keys.. I wouldnt knock it, give him a call and ask him as his numbers on the ad. Thanks for the link Big Kev. Quote
dipsomaniac Posted August 25, 2007 Report Posted August 25, 2007 prior to bidding i would ask for some guarantee of a refund, if once keys are programmed engine/gearbox are found to be faulty. if no guaratee you would have to factor further damage into your bid. Quote
