Evening all the mrs has told me she wants a new galaxy and to be fair she needs one <_< now i have seen one on ebay cheap cause it had lost keys,now the keys have been replaced but need reprograming does anyone know what its going to cost me to get this done?

sorry , should have said that the keys DO NOT start the car, the guy said in his advert he has replaced the keys and after reprogramming it "should"fire up it just seems to good to be true and to cheap but im all for a bargain!!! Edited by peasey

You can try the sequence in the FAQ section (which is in technical)...if that doesnt work then its a trip to fords to lighten your wallet!

so if its so easy why hasn't he done it.

 

if its a mk2 then you will need to get the car to fords to have them proogrammed - after all if he had 2 working keys he could programme them himself. If you dpont have one key working then you willhave to get the car towed/transported and will probably cost

sorry about the fella bit it wasnt until i read through my post i realized SORRY i did try to edit it but then it was to late opps!!! and to be honest i did think if it was easy then why hadnt he done it.i think im going to leave well alone as engines are more my thing and i saw one that went cheap, again on ebay,mkII busted head gasket!!mysearch continues

Very true BK..

 

She does look like a pretty nice Gal...Reading his feedback he seems a genuine seller aswell.

And at 2k starting price, very cheap indeed.May be a genuine reason why he hasnt had the keys programmed specially after getting the new keys..

 

I wouldnt knock it, give him a call and ask him as his numbers on the ad.

prior to bidding i would ask for some guarantee of a refund, if once keys are programmed engine/gearbox are found to be faulty. if no guaratee you would have to factor further damage into your bid.

yes big kev thats the one and what dipsomaniac was spot on i never even thought of that, you guys and LADIES on here a spot on with your answers what a real helpfull bunch you are thanks for your help.I will let you all know what happens and what i buy i really like the mk II but dont tell the mrs that she wants the mkI again :)
