Hi

I've just modified my TomTom RDS TMC to accept a connection from the car's aerial and it works!!!!

I know what the rotating amber quadrants mean, doesn't everybody, and I know what the green indicator means.

Every couple of minutes I get an icon showing an arrow going around and around a car, is this indicating an update in progress?

I'm receiving audible and visual updates ok.

I can't find any info about the different icons, even on TomTom's web site, so any info would be much appreciated.

the tomtom tcm unit has nothing to with their servers, it's suppose to pick up the traffic reports from radio stations, it's a one off payment device unlike the units traffic system that does rely on their servers and your phones gprs signal

so is this the Itis/classic fM TMc or the capital radio, GWR and Chrysalis one (with RAC) (I dont use either of the systems), can a unit use either or both systems ?

not sure although I have read that it's meant to work with classic fm? but in true tomtom style the R&D was done by the customer! there are loads of complaints abut this unit! and tomtoms customer service in general in reguards to this unit Edited by mk2vr6
