Nah!.....I smell victory on the final lap......... :16:

My Alhambra weighs 1734 kg, my Corsa weighs 1255kg

IIRC the Alhambra has a Cd of 0.34 and the Corsa 0.33

All of this mumbo jumbo is academic irrellevance as Cd has no noticeable effect driving round town and weight is of little relevence too when you are an expert in the PRESERVATION OF MOMENTUM.....That is, of course, unless you drive like an Italian....... ;)

And yes, I know the Corsa has a Fiat  engine, so I am half expecting it to break down tommorow........

I am surprised, i am surprised you didn't expect it to break down today.

I also mentioned the shape of a brickwall, which is cdA, and not its cd, which does make a difference unless

you are following a milkfloat with a remote to ALL the traffic lights!

Was that you who caursed that traffic jam in leicester today?

And you are correct, once moving and at very very low speed the weight would not be too much of a burden,

but i thought we had discussed holding up traffic b4?

Sorry was that "PRESERVATION OF MOUTHMENTUM"surely it was not momentum.

But i do complement you on your ability to post and drive, you should get home soon,

afterall you only popped down to the local shops.

I am also wondering what victory you are expecting on the last lap! from that statement i can

only assume you are running on fumes and have mis calculated. This is of corse a long

distance race, not a sprint.. you may need a bigger tank.

I conceed you have the bigger gonads, a jockstrap would have been helpfull though.

Never the less keep googling

or should that be gargling. :16:

Did I tell about the time I did 1600km in less than 24 hours?....

Another true story........

Oh, and not too much garlic on that pizza, Gio!

Ciao for now....

I was going to post a response but half the world seems to have beaten me to it!!

Perhaps Seatkids enormous (alleged) gonads are what he uses instead of tyres - They may have less rolling resistance!

One more thing to throw into the pot Gio - When trying to save as much gas as possible you can use the momentum gained particularly on hills to coast for quite significant distances - again saving fuel. I think Seat Kid has polished his car so much with such a brilliant shine that it slips through the air causing no drag whatsoever.

Which actually proves me right, lincolnshire to be precise you go to the region

in lincolnshire called south holland [spalding area] and just keep going east....

Anyroad on a serious safety issue, i was shocked that you are still using tryes that

are NINE years old! whats up with you? i was going to crack a jibe about the

fact that you clearly drive so slow, it was not a safety issue and there would be

time for you to change them before you reached the next set of lights. bur no

this is a safety issue and you are driving around with 9 year old tyres! get em changed..

Posted

I take your point and appreciate your concern for my safety, Gio so I followed your advice and googled whilst accelerating from 1st to 2nd gear post-892-1188944334.gif and found this advice from rospa

All tyres that display signs of aging should be removed and not put to further use.

Tyres that have been in storage should not be placed into use if they are over 6 years old, from their date of manufacture. When a tyre has been in use, the effects of aging are lessened to a degree, but such tyres should be replaced after 10 years.

however.....

1. My tyres live undercover in a garage when not rolling on a road and are protected from UV and weather attack most of the time.

2. I regularly clean, inspect condition and measure tyre depth, so far no significant signs of cracking, glazing or deformation.

3. They are silica based tyres

And no..post-892-1188944399.gif... the lights havent changed yet!.......

Anyway, my family don't seem concerned.post-892-1188945011.jpg

Oh, could you also pack my wife's uneaten half pizza in a box to take home, please........ :16:

Posted

I would love to rap the pizza up for you to take home,

alas health and safety concerning cooked foods insists

it is eaten within two days.

Being as you have driven here from you home

some 30 miles away, i could not risk giving you

the halk un eaten pizza, as you can see the

rule is 2 days, not 3.

But on a more serious note, you will be happy to note

I was not surprised by your answer to the trye issue.

I don't think you are doing yourself any favours now.

But you could me one show a photo of you speedo

again, one that was done lately not the 53 mpg one.

i am just two photos away from offering you a

apology for doubting you.
