7up Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 Well the gals been to fords for its 110000 service and to have the ABS light sorted out. Had a phone call regarding the ABS and this is what they found. ABS ring has a crack , which is why the light is on. To fix it a new ring has to be fitted, but as it comes as part of the drive shaft/CV joint a new one of these has to be fitted, the cost being Quote

NikpV Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 a search using 'abs, ring' brings up loads of hits for example one example thread note the comma in the search is important - leave out the quote marks though Quote
31Firefly Posted August 8, 2007 Report Posted August 8, 2007 I had the same problem with the light staying on, bought a new cv joint(with abs ring) for 55 pound from local motor factors. i think you have paid well over the odds. G Quote
