KrustyKA Posted August 4, 2007 Report Posted August 4, 2007 Hi all, Got a Ford KA 2001, recently had the fuel pump fuse blow (10Amp), replace it, started the engine and it blew the fuse again, anyone got any idea where i should start poking around? or is it a case of bite the bullet and pay extorsionate amounts for a auto engineer? Any help would be most appreciated. Regards KrustyKA Quote
insider Posted August 6, 2007 Report Posted August 6, 2007 Which number fuse is it? The fuse is blowing because there is a short circuit somewhere. Either some of the wiring has become damaged or one of the components in the circuit has failed. Unfortunately I think the fuel pump is in the fuel tank and not easy to get at but you could check the wiring from the fuse for signs of damage and as far along it as you can get! Quote
