Hi chap/Chapesses,

 

I`m a 52 plate 1.9 LX TDi owner and have had only a few minor hiccups til now,I have recently started noticing a tapping noise on start up, it seems to go after about 10 mins but in the process of research have found the jack port on the dash underside, i am interested in finding out what i need to access the diagnostic side of the car, and how much to get the items, i am getting a service done next month and will hopefully find out the tapping cause but wonder if anyone would know about the OBD?.

Diagnostic port thingy...where ford can charge you loads a dosh to see whats wrong with it...or........you can get a vag com lead..download whatever it is you need..and do it yourself!!....think that is what it is for anyway.

 

have a search for VAG-COM on here and it will throw up loads of info. ^_^

 

 

Price can vary with vag com..but having never purchased it, i can-not advise on it.A few peeps on here have it and can help you further.

Or buy one of these thingies like wot I did it's basically able to give a code and clear a code only - just like it says on the box.
