Irregardless of how long anyone has been a member, or how many posts..or how old/decreppid someones radio is..codes are not given out on this forum.

A member may help you via pm..maybe not.In my experience Fords do not charge for the service of obtaining your radio code.

If someone wants to help you via pm that is up to them.

Got a trip to France in 3 weeks time - and I’m going to replace the thermostat - Gal ‘95 2.0 GLX.

Prob stuck ‘open’ - see recent threads.

Good old Haynes sates disconnect battery neg - well safety first ! B)

But I don’t have the radio security code. - bit of a radio 4 fan so you can guess my dilemma !

I know some members out there may know how to find the right code (or may be not) B)

The thing that upsets me the most is I just scrapped a Fiesta (Monday) with the same radio - and I knew the code

But how do I over come the code issue !

I know I’m a bit newby - but who in his right mind is going to nick this radio and ask u guys for the code , hell there isn’t even a CD player ! :o

I ‘m willing to kill the radio if I have to - Rather than go to a fraud dealer

But can any body help !

The model 2005/20015 Stereo Radio/Cassette player is not disconnected yet - there any way to get the code to display before I disconnect the battery ? Or do I need to pull it and find the serial number

Any help ?

Hi Kirk

The Haynes says disconnect the battery for every thing ! so I would not bother for a Stat, but if you insist, you can buy a device that plugs in your ciggy lighter socket, or make one, with a Cig lighter plug and a 9 Volt Battery( but put a Diode in circuit) to stop the car battery trying to charge the 9 v battrey

then just plug it into your socket and it will hold the memorys

Just one point if your socket only works with the ignition on, then you will have to leave the keys in and switched on !
